Clematis #1 General Sikorski

Extremely floriferous and winner of the Royal Horticultural Society Award of Garden Merit, 'General Sikorski' is a large-flowered Clematis that puts on a dramatic flower show two times a year. In spring to early summer, a profusion of very large 6 to 8 inch diameter flowers with dark lavender-blue petals faintly striped in red surround a patch of creamy white filaments. The vine then reblooms in late summer to early fall. Following the blooms are very attractive fluffy seed heads for extra-added interest in the garden. We've grown this beauty in locations that received full sun and morning sun with afternoon shade and it flourishes and blooms prolifically in either exposure.
