Stachys byzantina 'Big Ears' forms clumps of large, silver green, fuzzy leaves that resemble lamb's ears, hence the common name. Salvia 'Big Ears' also goes by the moniker 'Helen von Stein'. This is a variety that rarely blooms, and when it does, the flowers are not showy, but the bees like its purple blooms.
