JOHNSON’S Shrub & Tree Planting Instructions
-
Dig a hole 2-3 times the width of the rootball and
the same depth as the rootball using a gentle
outward slope.
-
Incorporate 1/4 to 1/3 Bumpercrop or leaf compost to
the existing soil.
-
Plant the free or shrub approximately 10% above the
existing soil line.
-
Remove the plant from the container and score the
roots then place the plant in the hole. If it is in
a burlap ball place rootball in the hole, cut the
bindings and loosen the burlap.
-
Add the rest of the soil mix around the rootball and
pack firmly, tapering away from the crown of the
plant. Build a shallow pool around the edge of the
hole and mulch out to the drip line,
-
It is extremely important to water thoroughly
immediately after planting using “Rootmaster” to
lessen transplant shock. Water heavily once every
5-7 days.
-
Enjoy your new plant(s).
JOHNSON’S has a one year guarantee on any
