PLANTERS
PLANT MATERIALS FOR PLANTERS
The use of permanent or portable containers
for plants in recent years has gained popularity in
the landscape development of homes and public
buildings. Planters that are part of the structure
should be filled with plant material that will look
good throughout the year. It is a mistake to use only
summer blooming plants in these permanent planters if
they are large enough to hold a shrub as well.
Portable containers are becoming popular for
the outdoor terrace or deck. It is possible to move
the containers around like furniture to fit the needs
of a particular situation. The containers may be
grouped to give a mass effect or may be used as single
units.
