LUDISIA (HAEMARIA) DISCOLOR

Ludisia Discolor blooms with a spray of small white flowers, generally around the first of the year. The flowers, while attractive, are not extremely showy. The plant is primarily grown for its very attractive foliage.

TEMPERATURE
Ludisia is not particularly sensitive to temperatures. The range of normal household temperatures is fine.

HUMIDITY
Again humidity is not a critical factor. As long as your house is not extremely dry, Ludisia will be fine.

LIGHT
It is a low light plant, never wants any sunlight or even bright conditions.

WATERING AND FEEDING
Ludisia want to stay moist, they are a terrestrial orchid and are usually potted in a dense soil like medium. They are light feeders, one quarter strength balanced fertilizer once a month.
